illio

about

Still full of warmth from Dana, we’re plunged into the pulses of ‘Illio’. The word derives from the Greek, ‘helios’, meaning sun, although you don’t have to know that to feel the ethereal focus. Their dancing bass and beautifully conducted crescendos create an immediacy that calls you to listen with breath held. It explores the destructive nature of our living and the powers of the Earth beyond our own. Their cry, ‘Raise your heads’, leads the song to its climactic ending as it exhales and recognises the presence of greater forces.
